A hinge is a mechanical device used to connect two solids and allow for relative rotation between them. It is usually composed of movable components or foldable materials. The main function of the hinge is to assist in the opening and closing of the cabinet, by connecting the rotating pair, so that the door or cover can swing on the fixed frame. According to different installation positions, hinges can be divided into door hinges and cabinet hinges. Door hinges are used to allow doors to rotate naturally and smoothly to open and close, while cabinet hinges have more functions and designs, such as rotating 360 degrees, adjusting the gap between doors up, down, and left and right.
Working principle:
The working principle of a hinge is to allow relative rotation between two solids through its design, while also being able to withstand certain torque and bending forces. Based on its structural design and material properties, it is usually made of metal or other hard materials with sufficient strength and durability to withstand the pressure and wear of daily use. A hinge typically consists of one or more rotational axes that allow the connected object to rotate around it. The design of hinges can be very simple, including only one rotation point, or more complex, including multiple adjustment screws to meet different installation needs. For example, hydraulic hinges (damping hinges) provide cushioning function when closed, reducing noise and impact.
