Basic concept of anti loosening nut
Anti loosening nut is a device used to prevent nuts from loosening on their own, commonly used in engineering and mechanical equipment that requires resistance to vibration and impact. It can be firmly fixed on the bolt through a special structure and working principle, avoiding loosening of the nut due to vibration. The design of anti loosening nuts aims to increase the friction or pressure between the nut and bolt, thereby preventing the nut from loosening due to vibration. The principles and structures of anti loosening nuts are diverse, including mechanical anti loosening, riveting anti loosening, friction anti loosening, structural anti loosening, etc. For example, the DISC-LOCK anti loosening nut consists of two parts, each with staggered cams. Through an internal wedge design, when vibration occurs, the protruding parts move in a staggered manner, generating lifting tension and achieving the anti loosening effect. This design changes the angle of the tooth shape, so that the normal force generated by the contact between the threads forms a 60 degree angle with the bolt axis, instead of the 30 degree angle like ordinary threads, greatly increasing the anti loosening friction force.
